Eric T. Mboma:   President

Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group – DRC since 2012, Eric started his career in 1996 as a Finance Manager to the Vice President of SIFIJA Group in Paris, France.
In 1998, he moved to the UK based LogicaCMG Plc. as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager. In that role, he coordinated post-M&A integration and projects implementation in various countries.
Subsequently, Eric took a new challenge with the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in London, as a Leverage Finance Associate. His efforts included researching target companies, performing capital structure analysis, structuring deals, and monitoring investments.
In 2008, Eric joined BHP Billiton’s M&A Division based out of Singapore. In a business development capacity for the Mining giant, his role implied identifying and acquiring global giant deposits of strategic commodities. In 2010, Eric increased his focus on expanding the Group’s portfolio of resources in Africa. Today, Eric continues to champion interests of the mining industry as a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. (SME).
Eric holds a Master degree in Public Administration – Leadership and Economic Policy – from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University and a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of the Chicago Booth School of Business (US). Prior to that, he was awarded a joint graduate degree from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (France) and a Strategy Certificate from the Recanati Graduate School of Business, Tel Aviv University (Israel) after completing College education with the MBA Institute (France).
Eric sees innovation as a major lever to addressing challenges resulting from the demographic and urbanization trends and the infrastructure needs of the century and in a growing pressure on scarce natural resources. Eric sits as a Board Director for the Seattle-based tech company Slimtrade and advises Whelli, a Vermont based start-up.
Eric was ranked one of the Top 50 Rising Stars of Africa by the Africa Report1 (in 2014) and selected as one of the Top 100 Africa Economic Leaders of Tomorrow by the Choiseul Institute2 (in 2014 and 2015).
Eric serves as Vice President of the Congolese Banking Federation (ACB) and sits both as a Director on the Boards of the Congolese Business Federation (FEC) and of the French & Congolese Chamber of Commerce (CCIFC).


Eric M. Kibwankay:   Vice President of Development, Alliance & Partnership

Eric is a Regional Operating Director with Airtel in DR Congo, after earlier roles with the company including Regional Commercial Head and Senior Regional Marketing Manager. He joined Airtel in 2014.
He is a passionate, results-driven commercial executive with extensive marketing, sales and commercial leadership experience. He has a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams and has consistently demonstrated a successful track record of ensuring that his teams deliver against challenging business targets.
As Regional Operating Director, Eric owns a multimillion USD revenue target and has made a major contribution to an impressive EBIDTA margin by combining revenue growth and OPEX reduction. He has a proven leadership brand that drives strong employee engagement and a firm belief in promoting excellence throughout the organization.
Eric sees operational excellence, employee and partner engagements as key success factors to organizations doing business in DRC or looking to set foot in the country to capitalize on its huge potential. In his earlier career, Eric worked in business development roles for Engen Oil and ProtelCongo, both in DR Congo, and for Informatica and BEA Systems/Oracle, both in the USA.
He has an MBA from Ashland University in the USA where he specialized in product marketing strategy, sales & project management, and a master’s degree from the University of Montpellier where he studied marketing and commercial strategy. As polyglot, Eric is fluent in English, French and Lingala, and has a good level of conversational Spanish.
Eric is a world-class citizen and a proud husband and father, and enjoys playing tennis, reading, social media and riding motorbikes.


Franck A. Saidi:   Vice President of Operations and Events

Franck joined Vodacom Congo in 2013 as a Senior Manager of Credit Risk & Collections within the Finance Department. He is responsible for credit vetting acquisition, credit control, debt collection, and operational risk.
As a leadership role, Franck heads a division which generates multimillion USD yearly collection output. Since joining Vodacom Congo, he has exceeded debt recovery expectation by redefining and restructuring work flows, which enabled Vodacom Congo to consistently meet or exceed payment turnaround times and enabled the company to more accurately forecast cash flow.
He developed and implemented a strategic risk and debt recovery plan for the postpaid Enterprise & Consumer market. He reduced fraud, anomalies, and improved the company’s ability to respond to customer enquiries by devising and introducing internal process controls for credit notes and payment in the cashbook.
Franck has also played a key role in driving cost-reduction initiatives that resulted in significant cost savings over three years through internal usage review and controllership. He debuted in Credit Risk as a Credit Controller at Moreton Smith in 2009 in London.
Prior to 2009, Franck occupied operational roles within the financial industry in Europe at Ingram Micro and Watson Wyatt that covered all aspects of data analysis and risk efficiency.
Franck believes that integrity and trust in the industry is crucial in order to build sustainable growth. He sees integrity propagate a positive effect on the environment and trust supporting the economic development.
Franck holds a BA in Business Management specialized in International Trade from Greenwich University in London. Franck is a happily married man who enjoys basketball, fitness, graphic design, media and photography.


Jean-Pierre Mateza:   Vice President of Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Jean-Pierre joined MTS Associated Markets, an electronic platform for trading european government securities, in 2007. The Belgian company is 20% owned by the London Stock Exchange and 80% by the European Banks.
Over the years, he played a variety of roles within the financial department of the company in his capacity as Associate. For example : Financial reporting to the CEO of the company and to the belgian regulator, business planning, annual accounts preparation, collaboration with internal and external auditors, evaluation of the Bank’s compliance according to the market rules.
On top of that, Jean-Pierre also participated to strategic decisions and had been involved in statistical analysis, client’s efficiency analysis or securities’ spread analysis.
Prior to joining MTS, Jean-Pierre worked for Belgacom and Lielens And Partners in Belgium.
Holder of a Master in Finance, as well as a Degree in Risk Management, both from ICHEC Business School in Belgium, Jean-Pierre decided to pursue an Executive MBA at Solvay Business School from 2013 to 2015 by hands-on-activity. The purpose being to broaden competencies and acquire additional skills to pure finance. It is precisely at this period that his passion for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was born.
Therefore, eager to contribute to the economic development of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Pierre’s goal is to set up a financial platform with the purpose of promoting both entrepreneurship and Innovation.
